Mac Air Vs Macbook Pro
I can not get Mac OS X 10.8 to install on my MacBook Air. Model MacBook Air1,1 currently running Mac OS X 10.6.8. From researching it looks like I have a 2008 model and according to specs OS X 10.8 should install. I get 'Mountain Lion not campatible with this computer.' I checked everything prior to buying Lion on the App Store. I could not find the exact date of my MacBook Air. How do you do that? Is there anyway to get Mountain Lion to work with this? I found the serial number and the model identifier but I can not find a model number nor a place to enter the serial number and/or the model identifier on Apple's website to verify the YEAR of my MacBook Air. Any thoughts or do I not waste any more time on this and scrap my MacBook?
